What does stamina mean to me?
Well, I was adopted when I was two,
due to mistakes my mom made that I already forgave.
We all go through battles.
Hers was a battle that took strong mentality to tackle.
It may have taken years to tackle,
but she fought and won that battle.
During the process,
I know it gave her a lot of stress
and made her very depressed.
My dad was never in the picture.
In fact,
growing up,
I never had a father figure.
Why?
I don't know.
He always was a no-show.
My life was always so-so.
Everyone got up and walked out like I was a no-go.
Although, my mama never let me go.
She always found a way to come back and
never look at a past and love her for that.
She always was the one that was there for me in the long run.
I would always be her first son.
To me,
family is only the best that you stick to the
worst and reverse the worst and always make
it come first.
Because love and family comes first
to fight all the worst that comes the
worst.
Girl,
my adoptive family,
I never knew what family meant to me
because they never showed it to me.
In fact,
they threw me to the streets when I was 17. What family does that?
I don't care if you're mad.
You don't throw the family race to the streets like that.
Despite all the battles I fought growing up,
I always got my head up rather than going to drugs.
I try to be the best I can be,
not only for my family,
but for me,
and I know I can be.
Family is the most important thing to me.
They sometimes always drive me crazy,
but I love them for the things they do for me.
That's true family.
Never let the ones you love bring you down to
make you frown because they try to break you down.
Did you ask me what family means to me?
Well,
if it's true family,
then support any choice you make because
no one can change you but yourself.
Life can go down the wrong trail,
but it leads you to jail.
You do that to yourself.
Don't blame anyone else but yourself.
If you can't help yourself,
ask the man above for help.
He's always there to help if you can't help yourself.
He has a lot of love and affection.
He will guide you in the right direction as long as
you stay connected.
Don't worry about the past.
It's already past.
Thinking living in
the past can put you outcast.
Just laugh at your past.
You're doing better than you did
in the past.
With all my mistakes,
mistakes,
I learned from those mistakes and I'll make
the same mistakes ever again.
Always remember, God loves you.
Even when you're feeling blue,
that's something I've
always knew.
