You, me, and whiskey, to me, as a guy who's been married for 15 years, I can really relate to.
A guy who's been married for 15 years with four kids, it's hard to make time for each other,
but it's imperative that you do so.
My dad or mom, one, or maybe it was both of them, told me a long time ago
that you're not being the best parent you can be if you don't have the best marriage that you can have,
and that means making time for each other, even if it's separate from the kids,
even though you feel like you're being a terrible parent.
And so I always kind of remembered that, and this song kind of reminded me of that,
and I thought it was a cool way of telling that story.
And the whiskey in it, I mean, that sounds like me, right?
It was just something they had together, is the way I hear it.
And, you know, it could be you, me, and whatever.
Insert whatever.
Yeah, it's a fun tune, and certainly thrilled to have gotten Priscilla Block on it.
She knocked it out of the park, and I'm really, really excited about the song.
It's the first time we've ever put a duet out as a single.
We've had a ton of them on our albums through the years,
but first time to do it as a single, so I'm excited about it.
