Unconcerned, unconcerned
Unconcerned about a blessed Lord
People go to and fro
In this world here below
Unconcerned about God and love
There's no time today for Jesus as the busy people go to and fro
They'll go to town or to the marketplace through the wind, rain, or snow
But when the church doors open, the bell rings loud and clear
My God, the thoughtless people, they don't even seem to hear
My God, the thoughtless people, they don't even seem to hear
But you know, they can hear the announcement of a party, dance, or show, though
But when the church doors open, there's very few who go
And if they do make it to the church house by some happening or chance
They want to change the prayer room into a place to dance
They bring in food and games, their parties and their sin
They draw a little circle, but they don't let the Savior in
They get up and read a sermon on how you ought to act
But they do so much evil if you only turn your back
They get up and read a sermon on how you ought to act
Now they'll try to tell you that you can do anything
Drink, curse, smoke, just say Christ is King
Or, you know God is merciful, He won't send you to hell
You can lie, cheat, hate, steal, and kill
Just call yourself a Christian and none will ever know
They won't realize how you live here below
But you know, on that great day, as we're separated left and right
The crowd ushered to the left, that'll be a very terrible sight
The preachers, teachers, who've deceived so many people's souls
All the ones who followed them
No, they won't be in God's fold
Those who've forgotten God and used His name in vain
And those who wouldn't go to church because of the snow or rain
Yes, these may be the next in line on that great judgment day
To be parted to the left, for they slid on the Broadway
After all your life on the Broadway you've trod
You know it's a terrible thing
To fall into the hands of a living God
Unconcerned, unconcerned, unconcerned about God and the law
