The year was 1999. I had just gotten off of Warner Brothers Records LA and my manager at the time, Chase Gadget, and myself teamed up with Mike Caron when he was first starting out at Atlantic to put out a collection of music that had gathered over, I guess, the four or five years leading up to that point. What was great about this album is, I guess it's because it wasn't intentional. It represented the good that came out of a potentially bad and discouraging situation for an artist like myself. It opens with me being interviewed by legendary Toronto DJ, DJ X, host of the Power Move show, CKLN.Back when Toronto...Toronto, as far as hip-hop is concerned, only had college radio. Here's the underground tapes.
