This is Big Machine Radio, and we are celebrating the release of Lacey K. Booth's debut collection of songs. And I want to get back to Lacey and talking about her life and her music. And she is an alumni from season 17 of American Idol. So tell me how your life has changed. I imagine a lot since being on American Idol and now moving to Nashville and having a record deal.My world has changed so much since American Idol. I was just a college student before playing gigs around Texas. But after Idol, I decided to move here. I got a record deal. I've had incredible things happen that I've only dreamt about before. So it's changed completely. And I'm very, very grateful for Idol.Yeah, that show has done some amazing things for a lot of people. And this next song we're going to play off your collection is actually your first single that's on the radio. And it's a good one. Tell people about Treasure. So Treasure, I wrote with Jimmy Robbins, Laura Feltz, and Jesse Joe Dillon, which dream team. They're incredible. It actually was a ride that was supposed to happen with Maren Morris, but it didn't work out. So they threw me into the fire. And I walked in and Laura Feltz looked at me.And said, Would you call yourself Trash in a song? And I said, Sure, I would. And so the saying one man's trash is another man's treasure is what we went off of. And I think we made it really fun. And originally, it was supposed to be called Trash, but we ended up calling it Treasure.I think that this title was better. Treasure sounds just a little more promising than Trash. But here's the amazing thing about this song. You have a special guest. He's not singing, but he's playing guitar. And as a debut artist, I have to imagine...I have to imagine getting this guy on your song had to have been amazing. So on the song Treasure, Keith Urban is actually playing guitar. And I was in Target one day when I got the text message that Keith Urban would like to be a part of the song. And I just almost dropped to my knees. The president of my label, Jimmy Harnon, he actually sent it to Keith. And I think Keith's reply was, This girl is dope. I'd love to be a part of this, which is mind blowing. And now listening to his guitar part.I can't think of anybody else that I'd rather have playing guitar on this song than Keith Urban. That's so awesome. I mean, to have Keith Urban on your debut project, my mind would be blown, as I'm sure yours was. So when you're listening to this song, pay attention to the guitar parts. That's Keith Urban doing his thing. And this is Treasure from Lacey K Booth.
