I'm reminded of a story about three trees, there was three trees standing there on the
side of the hill. There was a large old tree and there was a large pine tree. Between those
two trees there was a small cedar tree. Oh glory, one day it came a storm church, the thunder was
roaring and the lightning was flashing, the wind was blowing. After the storm passed over, they looked there on the side of that hill, that large old tree had been uprooted and
blown down the hill. Glory, that large pine tree had been uprooted and blown level to the ground. But what was amazing, that small cedar tree was still standing there.
Oh Lord, they tell me somebody got a shelf and began to dig around the roots of this tree. They dug, yes they did, they kept on digging till they made it to the roots of this tree.
Somebody said, I see why this tree is still standing here. Oh Lord, there's a large rock beneath this tree church and the roots of this tree have wrapped and tied itself all around this rock.
I'm here today to tell you my soul, my soul, my soul is like this tree. My soul is wrapped and tied up all in my heart. The storm may rise, the wind may blow.
Thunder may roll, but I'm going to wait on Him. I'm going to stand right here and wait on the Lord. That's why every chance I get, I sing this song. You know what I say?
I'm so glad I know that trouble don't last always. You know I'm so glad that trouble don't last always.
I can shout about it. I can sing about it. Trouble don't last always. But I find myself saying, oh my Lord, Master, oh my Lord, what shall I do, what shall I do?
Wait a minute, there's one more thing I want to say. I'm so glad I've got my religion in China.
You know I'm so glad I've got my religion in China. It makes me feel good. I'm glad I've got my religion in China.
But I find myself saying, oh my Lord, Jesus, oh my Lord, what shall I do, what shall I do?
Wait a minute, this is one verse I like so way. Somebody say, hush, hush. I thought I heard a hammering.
Somebody say, hush, hush. I thought I heard a hammering.
That's what people say in Jerusalem church. When Jesus was hanging out on the cross, I thought I heard a hammering.
But somebody say, oh my Lord, oh my Lord, what shall I do, what shall I do?
This is another part I like about it. Somebody say, sound just like a hammer. I know they heard Jerusalem streets.
I know it sounds just like a hammer. I know they heard Jerusalem streets.
