The blades of the midnight windmill
Turn blue to dark blue to midnight
In an hour or so we'll see dawn
Painting a portrait of daylight in the sky
We'll wipe the sleep from outer eyes
Taking all we see from earth to skies
Admire the colours,
dark as hypnotised
For nature has painted morning In colours that no one has used
Or seen before the new storm comes falling
We'll tiptoe through flowers that need the
rain Much more,
more than you or I could need
For raindrops help to sow the seed
We'll sit by and watch mother nature breed
I'm expecting you'll forgive me one more time
I've lost my sense of reasoning and rhyme
Close your eyes to my direction just once
more Forgive me if I dream forevermore
Fix me a shade of darkness Tint it
with love just to brighten up my day
And my eyes shall marvel Sunshine to moonshine and clouds to shining
stars Nothing stays too dark too long
For me to lose my morning song
For that's what I've been singing all along
