Dua for my husband.
Ya Allah, provide for my husband
and open for him all the gates of provision.
Ya Allah, make all goodness come his way.
Oh, most merciful one,
grant my husband abundance in money and of health
and make all his intentions pure.
Ya Allah, I ask you by your generosity
and your goodness to protect my husband.
Ya Allah,
make his livelihood easy,
lawful and good
and make his efforts for us
in the balance of his good deeds.
Ameen.
Your breath drew ghosts against the sky.
Our hands met once and passed goodbye.
The stars looked on but didn't stay.
They knew the dawn would take you away.
The last winter's night, you slipped
from my sight like smoke in the pale moonlight.
Your voice,
a song still drenched through the white.
I lost you in the last winter's night.
Your scarf still hangs by the window pane.
I swear it moves when I say your name.
The candle burns,
a lonely flame,
still waiting for the sound you made.
The
snow remembers where we stood.
Your shadow carved into the wood.
If I could freeze that final breath,
I'd hold it close.
The fire in death, the last winter's night.
You slipped from my sight
like smoke in the pale moonlight.
Your voice,
a song still drenched through the white.
I lost you in the last winter's night.
Maybe spring will melt the pain.
Maybe I'll learn to breathe again.
But every thought
is mine, the cold you left behind.
The last winter's night still cools in my mind.
Your
eyes like stars too far too bright.
If love could stay beyond the light,
you'd find me on the last winter's night.
The last winter's night.
