The Jailer
Paul and Silas were very good friends.
They went everywhere talking about Jesus.
Many listened and also began to love Jesus.
These people were called Christians.
Some heard Paul and Silas, but did not believe.
They did not like Christians.
During a trip,
Paul and Silas were thrown in jail.
They were not afraid.
They knew God was everywhere.
They praised God while in jail.
Other people in jail heard Paul and Silas.
Late that night,
there was an earthquake.
The jail doors flew open.
Chains fell off prisoners.
The jailer ran to the jail.
He was afraid the prisoners had run away.
To his surprise,
Paul and Silas shouted,
We're still here!
The jailer could not believe it.
The jailer was so surprised
that he freed Paul and Silas.
The jailer was then baptized and praised God.
