Today at four o'clock I took a trip down to the Tiger Mine
Eating something frozen on a summer day to set me right
Then I saw the IC machine was out of green,
apple,
and grape
So
I settled for cherry,
took one sip and I threw it in the sewer break
And that was enough to prove to me
There ain't no point in loving all the little things
Sometimes it feels like life just tries to beat you down
And there ain't no way to pick yourself up off the ground
I remember
the
weather on the day that you were born
And the way my stomach
twisted when you cried for the first time
I remember
every
IC with you by the tires Swim,
climbing up the white porch stairs
And leaning off the belt line And that is enough to prove to me
There ain't no point in nothing but the little things
Sometimes it feels like life just tries to beat me down
And there ain't no way to pick you up out of the ground
