Ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls,
and everyone else tuned in around the world,
I'd like to introduce to you something
super special and oh so amazing.
Drum roll please.
This is your brain.
Welcome to your brain,
a place that is amazing,
where you feel emotions.
We learn and create things,
billions of neurons,
faster than computers,
sending information and it's always changing.
So you can be anything you want to be,
as long as you think positive,
believing in yourself will bring you happiness and confidence.
When I say my brilliant,
you say brain,
my brilliant,
brain,
my brilliant,
brain,
my brilliant,
brain.
Welcome to your brain,
that is amazing,
it's the boss of your body and we're all lucky to have them.
But what's that fluid?
Ah,
that there protects it,
then you've got your skull on top,
just like a helmet and there's three parts.
First the cerebellum,
this controls your balance,
your movement, your coordination.
Now on to the brainstem.
Can you tell me more about that?
It
connects the brain to the spinal cord from the neck to the bottom,
half your back digestion,
breathing and pumping blood.
Let's give it up for the brainstem.
Everyone, show some love.
What's
next then?
The third part and it's called the cerebrum,
the outermost layer and a big decision
maker,
full of important neurons,
interconnected cells that transfer information.
Wow, this is
amazing.
I know.
It's breathtaking.
Now put your hands on top of your
head and rock away to the brain song.
Everyone, sing along.
Welcome to your brain,
is that it's amazing,
where you feel emotions,
think, learn and create things.
Billions of neurons,
faster than computers,
sending information
and it's always changing.
So you can be anything you want to be,
as long as you think positive,
believing in yourself will bring you happiness and confidence.
When I say my brilliant, you say
my brilliant, my brilliant, my brilliant.
Welcome to your brain.
Right here's your left side,
this controls your movements that are
on your right side and vice versa.
There goes your right side,
this controls your movements that are on your left side.
Is that a seahorse?
Not quite,
that's your hippocampus where memories are stored,
formed and organised.
Okay, but what's that crying?
Ah,
that's your amygdala,
see to say it handles emotions and also your behaviour.
Oh my gosh, that's so cool, man.
Not as cool as neurons.
Those guys are connected and electric when you
group them and when all of them are in unison,
they can power up a light bulb.
Information dance around like they're in a
nightclub and they're connected through synapses.
One big happy family,
we're sending messages and this happens so rapidly.
Wow, my brain is marvellous.
So make sure you look after it.
How?
Eat well, exercise and be positive.
And it's 75% water, so make sure you drink more.
H2O to ensure everything's in order.
Okay, I get it.
Good, and?
But is that everything?
No, there's one more thing.
Put your hands on your head and sing.
Welcome to your brain.
Is that it's amazing where you feel emotions,
think,
learn and create things.
Billions of neurons,
faster than computers,
sending information and it's always changing.
So you can be anything you want to be as long as you think positive.
Believing in yourself will bring you happiness and confidence.
When I say my brilliant,
you say brain my brilliant.
Brain my brilliant.
Brain my brilliant.
