This is for my mother and this is for anybody who's
finding day-to-day life a little bit difficult.
Remember that we're all in this together.
This song is called Superhero.
When the wind won't carry your wings
It's the weight of the world is on your shoulders
I know someday it all will change
And you'll get your chance to shine
Today
is a day
Nature made a superhero
From your skin and light
And if you feel you're
losing flight
I will be the ground beneath you
Because even superheroes need saving sometimes
When
your eyes can't cover your fears And
the dark of the ocean's calling you to
her side
I will be the river in which you flow
I will be the ground from which you grow
Today is the day
Nature made a superhero
From your skin and light And if you feel you're
losing flight
I will be the ground beneath you
Even superheroes need saving sometimes
You are stronger than the wind that let you down
Too alive to surrender to the sea
The fire inside will lift you, will lift you
Today is the day
Nature made a superhero
From your skin and light
If you feel you're losing flight
I will be the one to catch you
Thank
you very much.
I started
a record company because nobody was interested in it.
It was sort of a combination of nobody being
interested and nobody knowing what I was doing as well.
So you've got to do something yourself sometimes.
It's called Savage Acoustic Records.
SavageAcoustic.com
I put everything I've ever done up there.
Which could be a mistake, but
I like a lot of the stuff and I think it all has a place.
And you can listen to it all.
And you can also turn it off if you don't like it.
But it should be there, you know, it's music.
And these days everything's being stolen.
So I'm pulling the wool from under the
thief's feet by giving it away for free.
Consequently I don't have a carpet to stand on.
I didn't plan that corny joke by the way.
I found this guy called Al Lindsay who's playing here.
I found him,
he's a friend of my uncle's.
And I found this amazing venue.
And I contacted David who said he could fit me in.
So I'm very grateful that he did that.
I think it's a wonderful thing that you do this.
And I just hope there's more of these around the country.
It's great to play and have your lyrics do the talking for you.
It means everything to a songwriter to be able to blab.
I apologize for blabbing.
