Four years after the conflicts began in Darfur,
the number of displaced people in camps like this one continues to grow.
Violence and hardship are an almost daily ritual for the people of Darfur.
Hundreds of thousands of people live in refugee camps across the region,
forced out of their homes by the conflicts that began in Darfur.
It's a crying shame to cause such pain and misery.
As the world sits by to let people die, it's a mystery.
No sense of hope, it's a slippery slope to master's path.
Resolutions come, but little is done, it's a tragedy.
I got something to tell you.
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
Politicians squawk, while the UN bombs words in the way.
Rape and death are common, malnutrition and sorrow and torture every day.
It's the shame of the world.
The rape of baby girls, fears of war and toil.
Is it no wonder again, blacks killing blacks, who wins?
How a cis with a godfather, I've got a word.
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
I wonder who's to blame.
Sudan, Darfur and plain.
It's just so insane.
So much, so much pain.
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
Rash WINΛRs
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
Rape and death are common, malnutrition and sorrow and torture every day.
Sudan, it's a crying shame.
Bilder tá mu é tên,
I'll admit, I just don't understand
And I realize that men can be greedy
Politicians say, what about the need?
And it hits the core, and I can't ignore it
It's a long, tired, evil thing
And when will it be the first event?
And by the way, do you hear what I'm saying?
So damn, it's a crying shame
A damn shame, I wonder who's to blame
So damn, it's a crying shame
A diaper in flame, it's just so insane
So damn, it's a crying shame
Crying, and I wonder
So damn, tell me who's to blame
A diaper in flame, a low-down dirty shame
So damn
So damn
So damn
So damn, tell me who's to blame
So damn, tell me who's to blame
So damn, tell me who's to blame
Who's to blame
I don't know
Crying, and I'm crying
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Still look for misery
Stop, saw, my, saw my man
Crying, and I'm crying shame
D., D., D., Crying shame
The motherfucker, I may be justice
Some officials say the sudden surge in violence is a deliberate attempt by the Sudanese government
to prevent an EU peacekeeping force from being deployed along the Chad border.
And the situation at that border, dangerous at the best of times, is getting much worse.
Around 50,000 live here, and nearly 2.5 million more subsist in 60 of the camps dotted throughout North, South and West Darfur.
Some have lived like this since 2003, but the passing of time has in no way diminished the awful memories of what drove them here.
