When I was a child I was stumbling blindly through dark stormy nights
Swinging my sword I was fighting the horn by a warm candlelight
I was mad with desire,
stoking a fire Singing my songs of a savior far away

The savior was older and wiser than
me He held all the answers and swayed
His feelings to be what he'd like
them to be But never did he run away
He had traveled the world,
he had been with a girl
He followed the path of desire all the way

Well that savior was me but now age 33 I
have the hopes of my youth of following
me
Now I am a man as well as I can I've outgrown the candlelight
And tales and adventures hang neatly away
Yet I stumble and fall through each night
I should give it my all I should simply not stall
Working hard for the realization For dreams
that my savior could easily accomplish
It all should be happening suddenly any day

darkness But some people find that more fun
I'm beginning to see that my savior was
