بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
الْقَارِعَةُ
The day of noise and clamor.
مَلْقَارِعَةُ
What is the day of noise and clamor?
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ
And what will explain to thee what the day of noise and clamor is?
يَوْمَ يَقُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ
It is a day whereon man will be in the state of noise and clamor.
And the mountains will be like moths scattered about.
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِبْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ
And the mountains will be like carded wool.
فَأَمَّا مَنْ سَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
Then he whose balance of good deeds
will be found heavy
فَهُوَ فِي رِيشَةٍ رَاضِيًّ
will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction
وَأَمَّا مَنْ قَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
But he whose balance of good deeds
will be found light
فَأُمَّهُ هُوَ هَذِيْنُهُ
will have his home in a bottomless pit
وَمَا أَدْرَكَ مَا هِيًّ
And what will explain to thee what this is?
نَارٌ حَامِيًّ
It is a fire blazing fiercely
نَارٌ حَامِيًّ
