Lacey K Booth, singing with Charles Kelly from Lady A, produced by mega producer Dan Huff. Lacey, I got to tell you, you just must feel like you won the lottery or something when it comes to making music.
I do feel like I've won the lottery in that way. Yes. These are my 11 year old dreams that I've been chasing my whole life. And I look around and I feel like I have imposter syndrome sometimes because I can't believe that this is my life and I get to live it. But I'm very, very blessed. I feel very blessed.
Well, I know that those people would not work with you if you were not incredibly talented, which you are. So congratulations. And I like this next song. It's fun. It's upbeat and it's playful. Tell people about Shuffle.
The day I wrote Shuffle, I was on my way to the right and I was thinking about the song Stand By Your Man, which is a song that my grandma always dedicated to my grandpa. And he was a wild one back in the day. But she stood by him and their relationship is the most beautiful relationship.
I've ever seen. And I was thinking on my own life and I was like, I think I'm somewhere between Stand By Your Man and Earl Had To Die. And so I brought that to the right. And the song is actually Goodbye Earl, not Earl Had To Die. I brought that to the right. And we wrote just a bunch of female country song titles that I grew up on. And it's a female empowerment song. I feel like it's focused on all the incredible women in country that influenced me.
So you're going to hear references from Carrie Underwood to Dolly Parton to Jodi Messina, Shania Twain, Miranda.
I love it. Girl power. This is Lacey K Booth. It's called Shuffle.
