I had the pleasure recently of recording, well, several months ago, of recording one of the most poignant songs I think I've heard in 37 years of singing. And it's from a show in New York that was a winner. And it's called, A Little Night Music. And the score is by the very brilliant Stephen Sondheim. We'd like to do Send in the Clowns. Thank you. ♪ Isn't it rich ♪ ♪ Are we a pair ♪ ♪ Me here at last on the ground ♪ ♪ You in midair ♪ ♪ Send in the clowns ♪ ♪ Isn't it bliss ♪ ♪ Don't you approve ♪ ♪ One who keeps tearing around ♪ ♪ One who can't move ♪ ♪ Where are the clowns ♪ ♪ Send in the clowns ♪ ♪ Just when I stopped opening doors ♪ ♪ Opening doors ♪ ♪ Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours ♪ ♪ Making my entrance again with my usual flair ♪ ♪ Sure of my life ♪ ♪ Nobody's there ♪ ♪ Don't you love the farce ♪ ♪ Don't you love the farce ♪ ♪ My fault I fear ♪ ♪ I thought that you'd want what I want ♪ ♪ Sorry my dear ♪ ♪ But where are the clowns ♪ ♪ There ought to be clowns ♪ ♪ Don't bother, they're here ♪ ♪ Here ♪ ♪ Isn't it rich ♪ ♪ Isn't it queer ♪ ♪ Losing my timing this late in my career ♪ ♪ But where are the clowns ♪ ♪ There ought to be clowns ♪ ♪ Don't bother, they're here ♪ Thank you. ♪♪ The beautiful Gordon Jenkins arrangement. There's Steve Sondheim here tonight. Steve, are you here? He's home writing another hit. Oh he's marked for one. I don't know which one. Anyway, Stephen Sondheim, a glorious song.
