Art is a funny bunny.
I don't quite understand it.
Some people adore some things,
while others think they're *.
I love the work of Sebastian Kruger,
but don't care for Chippendale or Beluga.
Take music.
For example, always the same old basics.
Lyrics composed on a standard theme.
Melodies using the same tricks.
Words that are unoriginal to read,
and tempos obeying acceptable speeds.
It only takes a second now to change the pace.
Just flick a switch.
The atmosphere's completely changed.
The sound is brighter.
So's the pitch.
Amazing what a twist can do,
thanks to technology oh so new.
I wrote a song once which speeded up,
and called it then Jerk Rhythm.
All about masturbation,
which can be done without partners,
or with them.
Art is a strange creature.
It doesn't take much to know what you like,
and what you don't.
I'm personally fond of Michelangelo.
I like the paintings of Salvador Dali,
and the blues of McGuiness Flint,
Malted Barley.
The one thing that I cannot stand is artists trying to be clever.
Those fakes who twist their values around.
Silly shoes,
pretentious forever,
like bending cents for stupid rhyme.
It doesn't have to, every time.
These popular poets are past their prime.
Make mine a soda with a twist of lime.
Art
is a funny bunny,
virtually impossible to define.
