Music, to me, is a right of control that always is dictated by the music. A lot of writers write lyrics first and then write music. Music always dictates the lyrics we write now. It's nice, you know, it's nice to know that young people appreciate it. Music, to me, is a right of control that always is dictated by the music. This is the most powerful thing the human ear can actually hear, the music. The way it makes them feel, the way it makes you want to move. Music and memories naturally go together. That's what brings people back to their favorite songs and memories. What they were doing, what happened to them, what they were doing in life at that time.
