So one of the songs that obviously had to be included on the record was Porcelain. And so for Porcelain, my friend Jim James from My Morning Jacketagreed to sort of almost do a duet with me,which was, I thought, very, very kind of him.I think he recorded it like while in the middle of a tourand just stopped and took a break to record his vocals. And when we were mixing it, we did this one a little bit differentlybecause we tried to sort of approach some of the sonic qualities of the original version. And the original version is obviously a lot of samples. You know, some string samples, a few drum samples, vocals, etc.And so for this, even though it's made with an orchestra, made with a string quartet,I wanted to sort of, in a way, preserve some of the original, odd, idiosyncratic characterthat I think made it.And so I made the original recording special.
