Peter and the Wolf One morning, Peter opened the garden gate and ran out onto the big green meadow. On a tree sat Peter's friend, a little bird. How quiet it is here, he whispered cheerfully. A duck was waddling out of the bushes by the fence. She was happy that Peter had left the garden gate open, because now she could swim around a little on the deep pond outside. When the little bird saw the duck, it flew down into the grass, sat down in front of her and whistled. What kind of bird are you if you can't fly? And what kind of bird are you if you can't swim? The duck replied and went into the water. They argued for a while. The duck swam on the pond and the little bird jumped back and forth on the shore. Suddenly Peter discovered something. The cat was sneaking through the grass. The cat thought, the bird is fighting around and is watching you. Maybe I can catch him. And she sneaked up on him. Watch out, Peter shouted. And the bird flew up the tree. The duck whispered angrily to the cat. From the middle of the pond. The cat sneaked around the tree and thought, is it worth climbing up so high? When I'm up there, the bird is long gone. The grandfather came out of the house. He was angry because Peter had run into the meadow alone and had left the garden gate open. That's dangerous, he said. What if the wolf comes out of the forest? Peter didn't listen to his grandfather. Young people like him are not afraid of the wolf. But the grandfather took Peter by the hand, went back to the garden with him and closed the gate tightly. And indeed, Peter was about to leave, when he came out of the forest. The big gray wolf. The cat climbed into the tree. The duck quacked, jumped out of the water in excitement and tried to run away. But no matter how hard she tried, the wolf was much, much faster. He came closer and closer, reached her, grabbed her and devoured her with a single bite. Now they were sitting there, the cat on one branch of the tree, the bird on another. Not too close to the cat. And the wolf ran around the tree and stared up with greedy eyes. Peter stood behind the closed garden gate, watched everything that happened there and was not afraid at all. He ran into the house, got a strong rope and climbed on the garden wall with it. A branch of the tree under which the wolf was lurking reached over the wall. Peter grabbed the branch and climbed over the tree. Fly down to the wolf, he said to the little bird and always close to his head. But be careful that he does not catch you. With the wings, the bird almost touched the nose of the wolf, while he grabbed angrily at him. How the little bird annoyed the wolf and how it tried to catch him. But the bird was far too clever and so the wolf kept grabbing into the void. In the meantime, Peter had put a rope in the rope and carefully put it under the tree. He caught the wolf by the tail and pulled the rope. When the wolf noticed that he was caught, he jumped wildly around and tried to break free. But Peter had tied the other end of the rope to the tree. And the wilder the wolf jumped around, the tighter the rope tightened. At this moment, the hunters came out of the forest. They were on the wolf's trail and when they had come close enough, they shot at him with their rifles. But Peter shouted down from the tree, stop shooting! The little bird and I, we have already caught the wolf. Help us to bring him to the zoo. And now imagine the triumph move. Peter in the front, behind him the hunters with the big gray wolf and at the end of the move the grandfather and the cat. The grandfather shook his head. But if Peter had not yet caught the wolf, what then? The little bird flew over him and whispered, how brave we were, Peter and I. See who we both caught. And if you looked closely, you could hear the duck quacking in the belly of the wolf. Because this one had eaten her alive in his greed. To be continued... To be continued...
