The song One More Night is,
I think,
maybe one of my favorites on the record.
It's got a little bit of a reggae situation going on.
I think it's a cool step for our band,
a bit of a different direction.
Be it a pop song,
it still has that reggae-infused feeling.
I would say that this is definitely my favorite track on the record.
And I remember clearly sitting in this studio,
Conway Studios,
hearing it for the first time
come off the big speakers and just being blown away.
I think that sonically, the production
from Max Martin and Johan,
aka Shellback,
is really outstanding.
It really just sounds
great through any speakers.
There's another collaboration with Shellback,
too,
who helped us out,
basically wrote Jagger,
and had a lot to do with the writing of this song as well.
That's the one.
He came up with that.
He did.
He wrote the main-
If he did nothing else.
He made that song.
He made that song.
Everything about that song is all going
to be attributed to Johan's brilliance,
aka
Shellback.
But we love working with those guys,
and I think that One More Night's a great step in
a slightly different direction for our band,
which is going to be,
hopefully,
really well-embraced
by our fans.
Yeah,
and I hope that on our next record we can
incorporate more of the reggae elements.
And that's what I like about it,
because it has those reggae elements,
but we're fusing
it with something that is very contemporary,
very danceable.
And also, I think that our
songs definitely live in a minor-sounding world,
and this definitely occupies that space.
