Lucius and Sheryl Crow don't on Big Machine Radio.
That is off of Sheryl Crow's new album, Threads, and you've got to get a physical copy so you
can see some of the incredible pictures in this album that tell the stories of the people
that she's singing with.
And I once heard Sheryl describe this next woman as like being wrapped up in a warm comforter
with a warm cup of cocoa, just so soothing and so pure.
And I'm not going to argue with her because Emmylou Harris is amazing.
And I would love to hear about you getting to work with Emmylou on Nobody's Perfect.
Nobody's Perfect is actually an old song.
And I wanted to have a song on here that I could ask Emmylou Harris to sing on.
I go all the way back with Emmylou Harris to, gosh, my first record and well before
that because I had all of her records.
And then I actually had her and Graham Parsons and I've followed her through the years.
And when Red Dirt came out, Red Dirt Girl, I felt like this woman is...
She's showing me the way of how to continue to be on fire in your writing and how to
continue to be authentic.
I mean, she's continued to tour.
She has reinvented herself throughout her long, lengthy career.
Her songs, I mean, Red Dirt Girl and the album that came out after that have some of her
greatest songs on them.
And it just shows me you can continue even in your way up in your career to continue
to write great songs.
I wanted to ask her.
She also happens to be one of my favorite people to sing with.
Because of the blend, I feel, that we have and just the history that we have.
So I had this song that I wrote with Jeff Trott from years ago and I sent it to her.
And it is very much like a...
It's kind of actually like a Brito Brothers, flying Brito Brothers song.
And I could hear her on it.
And so she came into the studio and we did it together.
And it's just a great experience.
I love her so much.
