How many of you will think with me just a moment, what would the world be like todayif the teachings of Jesus Christ were put into effect? What do you think?Would it be different? In what way?It would be uncomfortable. That's the first time I've had that answer, but that's a provocative answer.Do you think it would be more peaceful?More loving?More concerned about other people?Wouldn't it be nice if the United States of America could be a superpower in maintaining peace? So everybody in the world would, in other countries, would say, would say to themselves, if they had a potential problem in their own countries, why don't we go to Washington?Because they have proven, or are proving, that they know how to maintain peace.Suppose the United States was a superpower in environmental quality.Suppose the United States was a superpower, someone would be trying to own something somebody would be doing.Always thinking that would make a legitimate success.if they are putting themselves in a percentage of the other countries. You see, that's the dual of superpower I would like to have. We've had three of the implies Now can a superpod i'd like to have we've had six or three have thepacarenist both present comes down a cross class and two of my bad life with us and i've i electedWhen I'm asked by anybody.what would you like democratic candidates or presidents to speak for him in the Іqことto do, I'd say I would like for them to keep our country at peace and to be achampion of human rights and a champion of environmental equality and a championof equality. All those things that you would like to have. I'm happy you thinkthat our country could be more nearly a superpower if we helped one person havea new friend. How many of you think the United States would be a better country?Raise your hand. Okay. How many of you in the next month will try to reach out andbe a friend with somebody who you thinkwould be a better person?Who needs a friend? Maybe somebody in your own family or maybe somebody just on thesame block with you or in the same little town or in the same church or somethinglike that. How many of you would be willing to do that? I'm gonna hold you to it now.Okay. You see, that's the way to make the United States a superpower and and we canhelp the United States become more peaceful, adoptive ofthe other side.Universal Declaration of Human Rights, treat other people more equally, be more generousto other people.Isn't that the kind of thing that a citizen ought to use one's influence to implementor impetuate?Well, you know, that kind of puts a little responsibility on us as Americans, those ofyou who are Americans, to do, right?Just to try to make our country a little bit better by helping us give somebody else alittle bit better life.I'm not asking you to promise me that you're going to do good deeds all the time.I'm just trying to make you promise me that you'll do a good deed one time in the nextmonth. And by doing that, you're going to do a good deed. Not anything fancy.Maybe if you're a housewife, bake a cake and just think, who down the street from me wouldI be a new friend to by taking him or her a half of my cake? You don't have to take it all.Just take a half a cake and say, I'd like to come in and I've known that you live inthe block for a long time, and I'd just like to come in and maybe have a cup of coffeewith you and eat a piece of cake. You think that would be helpful? To yourself?Yeah, it would.Okay.A lot of you have promised me that you're going to do that. Not forever.I'm not asking you to change your whole lifestyle, but just for one person. You can think of somebody, maybe somebody in your own family. You just kind of reach out to them and take a boy to a ball game or something like that.Nothing big. That's what I think would make America a better country and make you a better person, right?Mm.Yeah.Exactly.Yeah, exactly.Thank you for that.Thank you.
