Mother's Flower Garden
I wondered from the old home
After mother passed away
For years and years I rambled
Then I returned one day
The house was all shattered
And the barn had fallen down
The weeds and the briars
Had covered up the ground
In the middle of the briars
Stood a rosebush so proud
And the beauty of its flowers
Seemed to spread
All around
Then a voice came to me
A voice so loud and clear
Saying, son, don't be lonely
For mother's always near
Mother's Flower Garden
I can almost see her now
Meeting as she worked
Spreading beauty all around
Oh, Mother's Flower Garden
No weed could ever grow
To cover up the beauty
Of mother's red rose
And dream-aman'sophy
you
