This
is a story about two mortal enemies
that discover a way to be friends.
The recipe is monkey hip gumbo and mothball stew.
What the witch doctor's got in his brew for you.
The monkey and the baboon were sitting by the creek.
When the monkey starts talking about the baboon's ugly feet.
The baboon said, now don't give me no stuff.
Joke about my feet.
I'm going to have to get real rough.
Well,
the monkey said, I really don't mean any harm.
Why don't you come to my party and *** my hairy arm?
When we get to the party now,
here's what we'll do.
We'll have monkey hip gumbo and mothball stew.
Take a look over there, there's Mrs. Bear.
She's combing her mothballs in her curly,
curly hair.
And over in the corner is Miss Snake.
She's wrapped herself around the party cake.
Now all the other folks will be here soon.
Look,
there's Sister Fox with Brother Raccoon.
And all of a sudden in popped the skunk and he cried out loud,
everybody let's funk.
Let's funk.
Here's the monkey and baboon folks again,
except now they're real good friends.
The baboon said, monkey, your party was a treat.
And I really don't care if you joke about my ugly feet.
Monkey hip gumbo and mothball stew.
What the witch doctor's got is brew for you.
It's a monkey hip gumbo and mothball stew.
Look at all the crazy things it makes us do.
