My mother and I planted it on the edge of the patio where the house ends. It was my father who brought it. I was five years old and he was just a branch. When spring came, we fertilized the land well and covered it with water. With pieces of wood we made a barrier so that they would not be damaged. My childhood passed and today under its shadow, which grew so much, we have memories, my little tree. With the passage of time, with the long pants, adolescence came to me. It was in the shade of my tree, a summer nap, when I lost my innocence. Then it was time for studies, with returns often, but with full consciousness, that started a long journey, only reading the passage. And so I won the absence, my tree stayed. And the time passed and today under its shadow, which grew so much, we have memories, my tree and me. Many years have passed and I have finally returned to my dear land. And on the edge of the patio, there was waiting for me, as a friend is expected. It seemed to smile at me, as if to tell me, look, I'm full of nests. That tree that we planted twenty years ago, I feel like just a child, the one who sprouted. And the time passed, half of my life with him stayed, today under his shadow, which grew so much, we have memories, my tree and me.
