Lucky Strike is definitely one of the most,
I think the most energetic songs on the record.
And we wrote that song with,
I wrote that song with Tedder, Ryan Tedder,
super legendary producer, songwriter,
member of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder.
We went to Colorado and wrote that song together
and it was just a blast.
And he's an amazing guy to work with.
He feels like, you know, one of us.
And that was definitely,
that song took a lot of work too,
as far as figuring out where,
what type of approach to take.
We wound up going with a much more band-oriented thing
and less of a track thing,
which I think really helped the song a lot.
It's one of my favorites now because it
changed shape various times,
but really wound up,
I think,
where it needed to be.
It's got that kind of,
almost got a little bit of that,
you know,
the Janelle Nae song?
It's got a little bit of tightrope in there.
Yeah, yeah.
It's got that kind of really fun, energetic,
almost like aerobic energy.
You know,
like you want to kind of be running around and expending energy
when you listen to it.
But it's got the classic rock guitar
elements on top of the dance sort of thing.
It's a good example of the sort of super
hybrid approach that we took on this record.
Yes,
it's very bandy yet very dancey at the same time.
