Life Ain't Fair was actually written years ago, probably four years ago at least. But as far as it being included on this album,I would say that decision is probably very informed by this time that we're living in.It's meant to be a hopeful song. It's meant to be that title. It's meant to be inclusive that bad things happen to all of us.We had the very blessed opportunity to talk to Matthew McConaughey recently, which I think the three of us are all kind of buzzing from still and reading his book. He's such an optimist.I don't know if that's his quote that the universe is conspiring to make him happy.I can't remember if I heard that before or if he's the author of that quote, but it's kind of meant to be a sentiment a little bit like that. You know, we're all in this together. And it's kind of about the perspective of how you look at thingsand moving forward from mistakes and bad things that happenand making lemonade out of lemons.I remember when that title came to me that I could actually seelike a picture of like one of those parking lot carnivals that set up and tear downand literally like the, you know, archway like entrance that just said,Life Ain't Fair.Yeah.
