one idea of what the song is about

that he'd composed the soundtrack of our lives and that's the way i was going to
feel about music that
certain songs get identified with certain periods in your life certain
people

and it is kind of terrible when you're locked into that
one view of what a song ought to be about

that's uh... a weird idea to think that you have to listen with your eyes you don't
