Santa's outside the supermarket
Living
rooms smell like pine
It's been one hell of a year and
I guess I'm just aching for a simpler time
If only for a season I get back to believing
In some kind of magic Like I never lost it
Maybe it's the white lights,
baby That make the neighborhoods glow
Or the snowflakes that fall while
we're sleeping Covering up the windows
It gets me thinking there's nothing too broken to fix
Just like a kid at Christmas
I'll go home to see my family I'll try not to look so sad
Drinking cheap wine and telling stories
Remembering
all the days we can't get back
If only for a season I get back to
believing In some kind of magic
Like I never lost it Maybe it's the white lights,
baby
That make the neighborhoods glow Or the
snowflakes that fall while we're sleeping
Covering up the windows
It gets me thinking there's nothing too broken
to fix
Just like a kid at Christmas
It gets me thinking there's nothing too broken to fix
When did it all start feeling too broken to fix?
Wish I could still be a kid at Christmas
