I have so many songs to sing, I don't know where to start
Some are happy, some are sad, some would break your heart
I've lived them all and so I think the proper thing to do
Is to tell you all about God's love and what He does for you
Then someday up in heaven, God will ask me to sing too
And I will sing much prettier, just like the angels do
Just like the angels do, Lord, just like the angels do
And I will sing much prettier, just like the angels do
I've had my share of troubles, but they are mine to plead
Why should I burden others?
Things that make me weep
Oh sure, there's many, many clouds, there is sunshine too
When you try to do for others as they would do for you
Then someday up in heaven, God will ask me to sing too
And I will sing much prettier, just like the angels do
Just like the angels do, Lord, just like the angels do
If I'm not good and learn to forgive myself
And I will sing much prettier, just like the angels do
The cross that I must carry belongs to me alone
So many other people have crosses of their own
So sing of pretty mountains, of flowers and of trees
And the love of God will be with you forever forever tomorrow
of little children
God gave us all of these
Then someday up in heaven
God will ask me to sing too
And I will sing much prettier
Just like the angels do
Just like the angels do
Just like the angels do
And I will sing much prettier
Just like the angels do
And I will sing much prettier
Just like the angels do
