Amen.
Now, they've asked that I give a short resume of history of the mission.
And the Nashville Union Mission began in 1954, in November, when Dr. Fuller held a revival meeting in the Ryman Auditorium.
It's July the 21st, 1971, and the location is the Union Rescue Mission in Nashville, Tennessee, located directly in the heart of America.
Once again, we're privileged to have the history-making Carter Fuller.
And I feel especially honored that Mother Maybel Carter, who represents to me the very roots of country music,
and in some ways puts me in touch with so many people that I admire from the past.
She was kind enough to honor me with her contribution to this album.
And it's kind of like a dream come true.
Now, to get on with the music, we're going to do a song that was selected by my wife, Bonnie.
A song that I believe fits the situation of the men here at the mission.
And in reality, it fits everyone, everywhere, who believes in the Lord.
It's called Life's Railway to Heaven.
