The laughter that you hear belongs to, is attached to the body and the lungs of...
It used to be, but it's escaping!
Of Christine Lavin, who escaped from Bellevue.
Oh, geez!
Now, I have a day job, like most musicians these days,
and it happens to be at Bellevue Hospital,
but it's actually a very good hospital.
If you're ever in an accident in New York,
insist on being taken there.
It has the best emergency room in the city.
Oh, what's the score of the Super Bowl?
That's my sister Jody in the background,
who's a little bit angry with Rutgers these days,
because she coaches University of Massachusetts women's basketball,
and you women really whooped them,
in a very embarrassing game by about...
How many points did they beat you by, Jody?
Thirty-four.
Thirty-four points you beat them by.
Let us mention, before we get too far lost here,
what is going on on Saturday night at the bottom line.
Yes, Saturday, in New York City,
the bottom line, 15 West 4th Street,
which is a great club.
This past weekend, they had the Ellie Grennett Show.
She wrote Leader of the Pack,
and Going to the Chapel of Love,
all those great songs from the 60s.
They just did a great show there.
Next Saturday night, we're doing an evening
of fast folk musical magazine Coop Artists,
a collection of some of the best performers
and some of the surprise guests
who have recorded on the Coop Records,
and I'll read a list of the people who will be there.
This is in no particular order.
David Massengill,
Suzanne Vega,
Rod McDonald,
Carolyn McCombs,
Frank Christian,
Tom Entendi,
Lucy Koplanski,
Paul Kaplan,
Germana Pucci,
Eric Franzen,
back from Pump Boys and Dinettes,
Christine Lavenetzky,
and Jack Hardy.
Chris has brought her guitar along with her,
and we were talking about how records sometimes
get overproduced,
and one of the things that the fast folk magazine
has tried for is a very live, spontaneous sound,
and one of the things that you don't hear too much
on the radio is live music.
So we'll do a little of that.
All right.
