Imagine was inspired by Yoko's Grapefruit. There's a lot of pieces in it saying I can imagine this or imagine that. If you get a copy of Grapefruit and look through, you see where I was influenced by her. And I know she helped on a lot of the lyrics, but I wasn't man enough to let her have credit for it. So that song was actually written by John and Yoko. But I was still selfish enough and unaware enough to take her contribution without acknowledging her. Because I was still full of wanting my own space after being in the room with four guys and always having to share everything, share shirts, share the same dry cleaner, the same everything. And the song itself expresses what I've learned through being with Yoko and my own feelings on it. I've just seen the words of Imagine, which are very, very good. Oh, sure, I'm glad you like it. You should see all the other lyrics too. Well, I'll play you them all in about an hour. It's just good. Imagine there's no heaven, doodle-oo-doo. It's easy if you try, doodle-oo-doo. No hell below us, doodle-oo-doo. No other sky. Imagine all the people living for today. You'll hear the record. Not me. I'm on piano for this, so I suppose you'll be on another keyboard. Yeah, was this one a ballad? Yeah, come on, I'll teach you. Imagine all the people sharing all the world. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one. That's a nice one. Yeah. Sure. That's the one I like best. I wish there was another piano, because if you can do the same kind of piano and do an octave higher or something, it'd be beautiful, you know. Well, we can always use this. Instead of electric. We can do it on one. It's a delicate song. We can do it on the top half of the piano, maybe. We can get the mic through to the front, to the white one. Oh, and that's it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'll go on the white one, because that's what I wanted to do, use that one. Yeah. Yeah. That's the best one. So. Imagine there is no heaven. Yoko, why don't you go down and listen, instead of being here. Yeah, right, right. OK, let's go then. I wish they'd told us before. John, there's somebody on the phone for you. Who? I don't talk to somebody, he-he. Might be somebody I don't know. I don't talk to anybody, he-he. I don't talk to anybody, he-he. I don't talk to anybody, he-he. I don't talk to anybody, he-he. I don't talk to somebody, he-he. Might be somebody. Can you be very quiet in the kitchen, please? Thank you. Can you put some of the piano in the earphones? What? Put some of the electric piano in the earphones. Yeah, there's none. That's better. How's that?
