The wind has finally taken some time off, I hope it stays away. The rows are getting nice and dry now, it's time we made that hay. The rake's been waiting patiently, hooked to the John Deere. Can't wait to clean those paddocks up, it's that time of the year, the sun is finally here. And I'll sit comfortably, put three rows into one. And the baler will vacuum up, and roll out what we've done. It'll be a long few weeks, but in six months time we'll say, Good thing we drove round and round and round, good thing we made that hay. Hey! My music's blaring through the cab now, and there's no one to complain. 2pm, my tea's still hot, that'll get me through the day. Looks like something's broken down again, I can see Ian's boots from here. Covered sweat and seed and dust, no doubt he'll earn that beer. When the paddock's finally clear, and I'll sit comfortably, put three rows into one. And the baler will vacuum up, and roll out what we've done. It'll be a long few weeks, but in six months time we'll say, Good thing we drove round and round and round, good thing we made that hay. We'll keep working well into the dark, hot seat every now and then. And when it's dry enough in the morning, we'll just go round again. Hey! It'll be a long few weeks, but in six months time we'll say, Good thing we drove round and round and round, good thing the rain wasn't pouring down. Good thing we love this bit of ground, and good thing we made that hay. Hey! Hey! Hey!
