We're glad to have you listening to Big Machine Radio as we celebrate the eighth anniversary of Taylor Swift's Speak Now album. And it is still mind boggling to think about the fact that she wrote every single song on this album entirely by herself. And this next song, when I talked to Taylor about it, man, it kind of broke my heart to hear her explain what this song was all about. This song is about the moment that you realize the person you're in love with is drifting, fading fast and you don't know what to do. You just start scrambling. And it's sort of like in that period of time, in that phase of love where it's fading out, time moves so slowly. Everything hinges on what their last text message said and if that means anything. And what did that tone mean that he said that? Well, he's kind of falling out of love. And that's a really heartbreaking and tragic thing to go through because the whole time you're trying to tell yourself it's not happening. And I went through this and I ended up waking up in the middle of the night writing this song about it. The song is called Haunted and it's on Big Machine Radio.
