One of her veins

To have a heart attack

And the doctor said
We must operate on her
As soon as possible
So they rushed her
To a hospital
In Dalton, Alabama
How many know
God is a healer?

And we pray
Throughout her surgery
And guess what?
God brought her through
Well, later on that night
She was in the hospital
Her blood pressure
Went sky high
She started having
Some internal bleeding
So the doctor
Had to go back in
And open up her chest
To repair
Some leaking valves
As the hour was passed
After the second surgery
She was in the hospital

Out of the operating room
And he said
That they had done
All that they could do
And there was nothing

Left up to her

That she was paralyzed
On her left side

She could experience
Some brain damage
Some of the feminine memories
They began to cry

God promised this boy
To let her die
As the hour was passed
Her eyes began to open
