An American army officer
General George Armstrong Custer
Once famed as an Indian fighter in the West
On June 25th, 1876
Custer and about 225 under his immediate command
Were killed by the Indians at Little Big Horn
And not a man survived
This massacre known as the Custer′s Last Stand
Became famous because of a controversy that began after the battle
And the truth of what happened would never be known
General down here!
Come on! Help us out!
Move it, move it!
All right now!
Soldiers that walk behind you
All dressed to perform
Neat pressed uniform
Buttons and swords all shining
The dawn failed to show
What they're heading for
You just wasting their time
Remember the things that we′re leaving behind
We, they gotta be seen
At least to return to their home and a lie
Suddenly the storm's around you
Arrows start to fall
Can't you hear the call
Break down in tears the youngsters
Redskins everywhere
Custer don′t you dare
Shout now all of them charge
Beware of the axe, it′s discarding a son
Cry don't pick on your horse
Can′t do it any good but things do get worse
General Custer muster out the war
Let me say
Get in this bloody war
Get in this bloody war
You're not the master anyway
There′s someone else's farewell
General Custer muster out the war
Let me say
Get in this bloody war
Get in this bloody war
You′re not the master anyway
There's someone else's farewell
General Custer
Someone just come to take you
When you′re on the ground
Can′t you hear the sound
Is that a great white spirit
Smiling in the snow
Ride a buffalo
Hide it wasn't the truth
In serving your country
For all of your youth
Now you don′t understand
When people subside on the strength of the land
General Custer muster out the war
Let me say
Get in this bloody war
Get in this bloody war
You're not the master anyway
There′s someone else's farewell
General Custer muster out the war
Let me say
Get in this bloody war
Get in this bloody war
You′re not the master anyway
There's someone else's farewell
