I wish to put it plainly
that the government has taken a firm decision
to release Mr. Mandela unconditionally.
In tonight's news,
Nelson Mandela walks out of Victor Perestone
prison a free man for the first time in 27 years.
Friends,
comrades and fellow South Africans,
I greet you all in the name of peace,
democracy and freedom for all.
It will be great joy.
It will be great joy.
It will be great joy in South Africa.
It will be great joy.
It's the beginning.
It's the beginning.
It's the beginning, as you said.
It's the beginning.
It's the beginning, as you said.
It's the beginning.
It's the beginning,
as you said,
of a hopefully of a new era.
It is an idea for which I am prepared to die.
I am prepared to die.
