Living day by day
In routine I stay
Drawing water,
cooking meals,
pills without delay
In the sunshine I immerse myself
Like steeping tea, feeling warmth on my shelf
Flavors of tea rotating through
Chrysanthemum, jasmine, rose, and lemon too
These simple joys leading me astray
Towards a brighter path away from dismay
Do I press down the snow within?
Do I too close to spring's chagrin?
In the clean courtyard I read your verse
Like leading sparrows all I submerse
Time passes by serene and bright I cannot dwell on sorrows,
it's not right
If I were to send you a book it'd be
about plants About crops and fields,
where life implants
I'll tell you the difference between rice and weeds
