Over these years, somebody would be off at work or something, and you'd want to get up with them, you'd holler like this.WAHOO! WAHOO! WAHOO!And they'll answer you back, WAHOO!And then if you had a distress call, if the house cased afar or something, and you needed help or somebody got crippled or something, you'd get up, you'd get out, and you'd holler like this. That's a distress call.WAHOO! WAHOO!It wouldn't be long before everybody in the neighborhood would gather up and see what they needed.Oh yeah, we'd call the hogs. Most people don't call the hogs, they don't know what a hog's calling it.They call it a horn, a hog's calling what it's not.We always called a hog.PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH!The hogs would come. Most of them now, you'd get out there, PEE-KEE! PEE-KEE! PEE-KEE! PEE-KEE! PEE-KEE! PEE-KEE!The hogs would be a half a mile sometimes in the woods, and you'd get ready to feed them. You'd get out there and holler like this.PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH!The hog would come running. The old cow would be off. You'd get out there and call her like this.COIN! COIN! COIN! COIN! COIN! COIN!It wouldn't be long before the old cow would come and the rest of the men behind her. They'd go like this.PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH! PEE-WAH!They'd do that and the dogs would come running.Every dog in the neighborhood just knew you wanted to go hunting and be there.
