Fade to Black. I wrote this song in LA early in 2022. I wrote this song with a guy called Ricky Manning, who is arguably the most beautiful looking man I've ever seen in my life. But this dude just writes the most cut, cut deep songs you've ever heard. He's incredibly gifted with writing sad songs. And we basically, we connected on the fact that we don't really see our mom a lot. And that's how we started this song is, yeah, we were talking about our moms and how much we miss them. And it basically turned into this song about, you know, the short nature of life. And, you know, if you lose yourself or if you're not focused on what's next, it can go in a flash. And, you know, we sort of brought it to this movie sort of analogy of, you know, everyone's life is a movie if you want it to be. And if you want it to be exciting, if you want it to be great, it can be that. But also, if you if you let it fade to black, it'll be gone in an instant. So it's a very deep song. It's a very it's a very real song. And yeah, I sort of talk about the things that I wouldn't usually feel comfortable talking about. Kind of go therapy spec on everyone. But yeah, it's a very deep song. And Ricky's an amazing songwriter. And it was an honor to write the song with him, knowing how much it both meant to us.
