Looking at December
I'm looking out my window
There's a haze about the sun
Morning people drift in silence
My day's work is done
I fled across the border
Escaping from the fight
I'm looking out December windows
It's keeping me right
I hadn't been awake in
ages
I'd been sleeping on the bottom row
Now I'm fluttering through dusty pages Of books when I was young
And the books they are so meaningful
And the pages are so light
I'm looking out December windows It's keeping me right
But I feel like to head back homeward
There's so many things we've got to do
They say the weather's getting better
There's old friends and there's new
But I'm bringing back those dusty pages
For I'll need them on the other side
I'm looking out December windows It's keeping me right
Oh,
it's keeping me right
