I was sitting in the chair in our kitchen
and my daughter came to me.
She told me that she had a question and I said,
let me hear.
You know,
dad,
you told me that you and mom gave birth
to me.
I told her the truth, sweetheart.
It was the best day of my life.
Then the words came out of her.
Daddy, when are you going to die?
I don't want you to tell me a lie.
I said,
honey,
we're all going to live for a long,
long time.
But not forever.
But I believe for you many years from now.
When my heart stops beating,
I will be in yours forever.
The days passed by.
We were having a great, great time.
Then one day the phone rang.
It
was grandma telling that grandpa was in pain.
We went there and my daughter stood next to
the bed by her grandpa.
She held his hand.
I knew what she was trying to say.
Then she
asked again,
oh,
daddy, when are you going to die?
I don't want you to tell me a lie.
I said,
honey,
we're all going to live for a long,
long time.
But not forever.
But I believe for you many years from now.
When my heart stops beating,
I will be in yours forever.
The years went by and my daughter came to me with her child.
You know, dad,
you've granted her as to that.
Daddy, when are you going to die?
I don't want you to tell me a lie.
We're all going to live for a long, long time.
But not forever.
But I believe for you many years from now.
When my heart stops beating,
I will be in yours forever.
Oh,
I believe for you many years from now.
When my heart stops beating,
I will be in yours forever.
I love you, dad.
I love you, boy.
But we do love mom, too.
Of course we do.
We have to eat.
Yes, sir.
Let's go outside and see our family.
Let's do that, sweetheart.
