Let's go ahead and we'll start. I mean, obviously the first song on the album, it was sort of your fan saying, yes, we are liking what you're doing, because Craving You hit the top of the chart. And you know, it was interesting talking to Maren. She said, you know, when I got this song from Thomas, it wasn't a duet. And I don't know what made him think, get a woman, much less me on there. So I mean, what was it about the song? Because I've heard you sing it live in concert. And without knowing that Maren was on the song, it sounds like a great song. But where did that thought come from that even though this doesn't raise its hand necessarily as a duet, that we want more than just a female background singer? I think it started out, we really wanted to just put like, it didn't matter who the female was, we just wanted someone that could come put a harmony on it. And that be the harmony rather than usually, I mean, I've actually never had a female singer harmony on any of my songs. It's always been a guy in Nashville. And so that was the first thought. And then when Virginia, my manager was asking me who we thought we should put on it, then then the conversation got deeper into maybe we should make this a feature and pick whether someone in our genre or someone out of genre to kind of get on this song and make it more of a thing. And I've always wanted to work with Maren, because I discovered Maren before she even had a record deal. Like I was listening to her stuff like on *** before she even came out. So I was a huge fan of my church and, and Eddie's Mercedes a while ago. Oh, wow. And so then when she came onto the scene, and, you know, you hear her in concert, you can hear her voice from a mile away. Like it's it's so powerful. And yeah, really just goes right through you. So I thought, you know, as edgy as the song was, and as edgy as she is, yeah, content wise, I just thought she would be a beautiful voice to be on there. And she came in and just blew it out of the park. And now, like, every time we play it live by ourselves, in the back of my head, I'm like, I can hear her parts, right, right. They're not coming out of the speakers. But one day, we're gonna figure out how to like get a hologram of her or something. So we can have her out there. Well, and you know, the thing is, the fans, they did say, absolutely, we love this song, it went to number one. And as you were kind of mentioning, I mean, that's gonna be hugely validating, and maybe take off a little of that pressure, because it's like, all right, first step was a good step. And if I'm not mistaken, wasn't this like the fastest rising song for you? Yeah, I mean, it went to the top of the charts in like 15 weeks. And previously, my fastest number one song ever went in like 22 weeks. So that's significantly quicker, which is almost scary how fast it's like, you know, sometimes you hear a bunch of like the superstars in our genres, they put songs out. And it's amazing that the number one songs, but it's almost like a lot of people don't get enough time to like, soak it in and live with it. So now it's like, the song's been number one and gone. Now, every week we play the song live, it becomes more and more noticeable that people are listening to it. Yeah, it's almost like you need a minute for fans like really catch on to what is happening with the song. Yeah, well, we're gonna have so much more coming up with Thomas Rupp, because we want to go through this entire album. But first, we're going to play This Is Craving You, his number one song off of Life Changes, which is available now featuring Maren Morris on Big Machine Radio.
