It wasn't long ago that I decided I was old enough
to go out on my own and learn to live.
I backed up all the things I owned and started saving
dimes and quarters in a mason jar behind the books.
Yesterday I said goodbye to Dad and Mom and went
downtown to try to find a place for me to stay.
But you'll be glad to know my story
started out okay and it will end okay.
I found it.
I took a flight on Genesee where I could go and live free.
I sat myself down on my knee and opened up my mind.
It wasn't long ago that I decided I would try to
find that thing inside of me that makes me continue.
But I was hiking through my head.
I thought that I was dreaming and that I had left reality behind.
Think of my surprise when I saw Dad and Mom and all my
friends and trees and grass and buildings down the street.
But you'll be glad to know my story
started out okay and it will end okay.
I found it.
I took a flight on Genesee,
began to grow and learn to be.
I found out that reality was locked up in my mind.
