Standing on the highway,
hitching a ride again.
I know that I found my own sweet thing.
I ain't gonna tell you where I went.
Fooling around so many times,
seeing good times now and then.
Things get slow,
while it's time to go,
get back on the road again.
Never cared too much for money,
never had too much to see.
Whenever I'm down to my very last dime,
why it really doesn't bother me.
Get what I want when I want it,
and I would try not to cause you no pain.
If ever I do,
well I'm telling you,
get back on the road again.
And
it's so easy to work it out,
any way that it could be.
But staying around in the same
sad town,
why that's so hard to see.
So if you're trailing on the highway, down the
ground by my way, using all the inside lane.
Just pull up off the road and let me climb up on board,
and I'll be back on the road again.
Back on the road again.
Back on the road again.
