At
the end
of the corridor
is a very quiet room
And though the man inside
Who
always smiles is very strange He is harmless,
he will not harm you
Doctors of sincerity who
try to take away
from him
The comfort of insanity,
his laughter
Standing still by the hourglass
Watch the silence in his eyes
And if he speaks,
he just repeats it
in time
This is surely not what he wanted
Moving
pictures
pass before
his dull,
uncomprehending eyes
As they try to exercise his latent mind
